Walk for the Water

Walk for the Water, May 30 - June 9, 2008 along the Chattahoochi River to bring awareness and remind us to be thankful for the gift of water and for the entire natural world. The Many Horses Foundation, dedicated to honoring and teaching the Native American values and traditions, is organizing this event. The event is a 10 day Walk for the Water starting at the head waters of the Chattahoochee River on May 30, 2008 and ending on June 9th in a traditional Native American ceremony in Atlanta. Many Horses Foundation's goal is to increase awareness of our responsibility to the natural world and to the water which sustains all of life and to bring focus to the need for water, water conservation and water purity.

Native American Elders from across the nation are coming to support the walk. All people regardless of race, religion or ethnic background are invited to walk for the water, for the life and for future generations. Dr. Masaru Emoto, best-selling author of "The Hidden Messages in Water," is planning to come to Atlanta on June 10th to join the Elders for a culminating event. His studies have illustrated how water responds to words and thoughts and how we can influence the healing of the water through our words and songs.
